I stopped shouting at the TV and started studying the game. Really studying it — obsessively theorising about tactics, roles, systems. The game kept me up at night.
Where I’m from — Dublin, Ireland — football analysis wasn’t a real career path. There was just one full-time analyst in the whole country. One — in a population of over five million. It was a pipe dream.
But then I hit 10,000 followers on X, just by theorising about the game and sharing it online. And I thought:
“Maybe I’ve got a shot here.”
That moment gave me the courage to go all-in — against the odds, and without a blueprint. I earned an MSc in Performance Analysis, and EBL became the reason I was hired as Head of Analysis at an EFL club.
Built entirely on obsession, detail, and a refusal to settle for lazy narratives.
Now I spend my time breaking down what actually happens on the pitch. Not opinions. Not clichés. But what the football reality truly reflects — in structure, movement, and intent.
Because the best insights don’t come from credentials.
They come from questioning everything. Thinking deeper. Never accepting “that’s just how football works.”
